Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I use They Create over other development/editing companies?

We are writers, for writers. Both of us have written enough novels, scripts, short stories, articles, blogs, poems, and grocery lists to understand the hope and pain surrounding the process. However, we also work on the other side. We've worked for Production Companies, as Editors-In-Chiefs, and with publishing companies - so we know what excites and disappoints agents.

We want to help you be able to develop your story as close to your vision as possible, while making it appealing to the folks who have the power to publish or green light it! We will be your bridge between creativity and business with one very important caveat - we care about your story and want it to succeed as much as you do.

(If nothing else, we like to think we make pretty lame jokes once in a while).

What are your submission guidelines?

  • Books: Times New Roman, 12pt font, double-spaced
  • Scripts: Final Draft script format
  • PDF file format
  • Title page with the author's name, the work's title, and the author's email address.
  • Please note the prices of the services apply to up to 120 pages for a screenplay and 250 pages for a book.

What is the turnaround time for feedback?

Our general timeframe is around one week of receiving the work. The time taken will depend on the length and complexity of the work - we will alert you if comments will be delayed. Please remember that if we take longer it's because we're trying to deliever the best quality of comments!

Do you take unfinished works?

We do, but we think it's much more rewarding for you to have comments on a completed work. We do not discount prices for unfinished works.
